This unit covers the fundamentals of marketing and sales in the esports business world, from identifying a target market and creating a value proposition to building a marketing plan and analyzing competition. Students learn key sales strategies, explore digital and traditional channels, and practice applying customer feedback and data to refine business decisions.
This unit explores how products and services are developed, produced, and delivered in a successful esports business. Students learn about product/market fit, supply chains, quality control, regulatory considerations, and the pros and cons of various distribution models to ensure their offerings meet market demand.
In this final unit, students gain a foundational understanding of business finances, including cash flow, budgets, ROI, and financial statements. They explore funding options, identify startup and operating costs, and apply financial planning to their own hypothetical esports business.
Aligned with the Certiport Entrepreneurship and Small Business certification exam, this course teaches fundamental business principles through the lens of esports.
